This snowmobile club was founded in October 1973 with 16 members and membership has grown to 120 over the years, with many new members over the last year. This is the highest membership in the Club's history so "Welcome" to all of our new members!
We are united with and members of the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs, support safe and responsible snowmobiling, and proudly maintain about 45 of Wisconsin's more than 25,000 miles of trails (and 45 of Marathon County's 798 miles). We maintain two groomers that are used by club members routinely during the snowmobile season to keep our trails sled-ready for all of you.
Finances are derived from state funding via snowmobile registrations, the gas tax use formula, memberships, fundraisers, raffles, as well as individual and business donations. New in 2015, Kelly Snowshoes will benefit from the Wisconsin Trail Pass funds, which supports local trail maintenance efforts.
According to the WI DNR for the 2014-15 season, Wisconsin had approximately 200,000 registered snowmobiles. Of those, 8,841 were registered in Marathon County!
